Successful PhD defense!

Today, Nora Czekalla successfully defended her PhD and is now a new postdoc in the SNL! Congratulations!

Thanks to Mario Gollwitzer (LMU Munich) and Corinna Peifer (chair of the committee; from within Lübeck) University), we had a great panel of reviewers and very intense and inspiring Q&A.

Now, after more than 8 years in the Social Neuroscience Lab, Nora finished her PhD on “Understanding (dys)functional self-belief formation: Evidence from experimental, computational and clinical neuroscience”. Within the last 8 years, Nora not only published several papers on social learning processes, their neural foundations, and clinical implications – Nora also finished her clinical training as a behavioral therapist. In her PhD thesis, Nora successfully combined her knowledge from these two major fields to truly provide a translational perspective (translation from basic social learning and neuroscience to psychotherapy and its application). How this might work is published here
